I am sorry to say this, chaps, but Scotland has to go.The thing is, if we are really going to resolve the hung parliament issue (and get rid of Gordon Brown once and for all), we have no other choice but to give full independence to Scotland.
It is because of Scotland that the electoral system in the UK is screwed up, you see, and it is all in the numbers and, just because you ask, here they are, the numbers:
In Scotland, out of 59 available seats in Westminster, Labour got 41 of them and the Conservatives only 1.
In England, out of 532 available seats, Labour got 191 and the Conservatives 297.
Without Scotland, the Conservatives would have an overall majority, having more than 50% of the seats available, and therefore no hung parliament and no need for Cameron to ask that loser of Nick Clegg to cut a deal.
Wales and Northern Ireland are small fishes, so they can still be part of the UK, but Scotland has to go! Westminster Parliament is basically currently run by 1,035,528 Scots who think the UK should by run by that moron of Gordon Brown!
Actually, just because we are at numbers and considering that in Scotland 412,855 decent Scots voted Conservative, the whole of the UK is run by 622,673 Labour Scottish voters. I can only guess the Scots are seeking revenge after hundreds of years of abuses from the English, but there is a limit even to evil deeds and here they have crossed the line!
Now, considering that, in the whole of the UK, the Conservatives got more than 2,000,000 votes more than Labour, I find rather frightening that 622,673 Scottish Labour voters can keep Brown into power (and the rest of us in misery).
But also, on a brighter side, think about the side effects of Scottish independence: Mel Gibson will be vindicated, Andy Murray can stop pretending to support England during the World Cup and, best of all, Gordon Brown can go back to his own native land and become the Leader Maximus of Socialist Scotland!
Bet you, he will succeed in two things: making Scotland join the Euro, and then, after managing the country to go bust, ask for money from the Germans!

Well, don't forget that if Gordon had not bailed out the banks then Kapitalism would have collapsed. Who knows, perhaps something better might have evolved.
However... in the meantime:
A "hung Parliament" is simply derogatory Kapitalist market-driven right-wing meeja-speke for what we really need - a Coalition government!
After all, the Germans have had one for years. So it must be good. And by the way a coalition government is what we had in the War, if we must bring the Germans into it.
As with the latter situation of crisis brought about by endless pussy-footing, it means that all parties will have to sit down and instead of wasting time yah-booing, insulting each other and waving their papers in the air like the outdated public school debating society that they are, they will have to ALL attend and debate the issues and thereby come to some consensus about what it right for all - not just what is right for keeping their pockets lined and themselves in power. It also means that no class-interest based legislation will get railroaded through and we might, just might get back to a semblance of proper democracy.
And if the pound wobbles and the markets tumble, just remember - a lot of Kapitalist bankers - yes, the people we paid all that money to - are even making money out of that! To test this for yourself ope up a bank account in dollars and Euros and you'll earn far more that way than if you put it in a bank-building society.
Taling of money, the best way to earn back the money we have all had to give (not lend) to the Kapitalist banks is to get rid of all the MPs (which alone would save millions)and hand over complete power to Brussels. MPs offices could be sold off as flats and we could open up the Houses of Parliament as a tourist attraction.
Still, on the other hand, anything that's Tory-led I suppose has its uses. At least then you know who your enemy is.
Thank you for the post, Komrade Kevin, Karl Marx would have been proud of you.
I was right then in saying, in one of my previous posts, that the EU is the new EUSSR.
If Gordon Brown had not bailed out the banks, Capitalism would have NOT collapsed.
It is Kommunism that collapsed, 20 years ago, because people could not afford even a loaf of bread (and no Tories there to blame...)
Yes,… and I myself recall how we had to assist our Komrades, the poor starving Sowiet citizens of Leningrad, in the hour of their need, with a share of the bread from our own table! And all they had to exchange was vodka and caviar, on which we had to pay import duty and that the evil man at the customs insisted on taxing.
I was thinking of this only today when I had no choice but to join the queues at one of the many new robot checkout machines to buy the last loaf of bread that was left on the Kapitalist’s shelf… the checkout machines installed by the Kapitalist that has freed some of our working class to devote more time to consuming the goods that are no longer the produce of their labour but are instead made, like the checkout machines themselves, by our Komrades in the Peoples Republic of China).
And I could not help myself reflecting on these ironies with some comfort knowing, as I read the cover of the newspapers while I waited, that only in a stupid society could working class people ever be misguided to keep voting for a system where the rich always made them poor. And only in a stupid society would people give money to others who will only lend it back to them for profit. And only in a very dishonest society, where the rich are really very few and very weak, would they have to keep lying to the poor in order to keep themselves in power.
Komrade Kevin, I would like you to remember that the queues to buy bread (or anything else for that matter) was not during the war but during time of "prosperity". The Ukraine famine of 1932 (7 million people died there), just to give an example, was due to Stalin policy of forced collectvization.
If check-out machines are taking away jobs from the working class, I guess we should destroy any equipment that makes our life easier, like robots in factories or tractors in the fields for that matter because less workers are needed, and I guess the internet should be banned too and Amazon made illegal (no more bookshops!)
